Binance Global Spot

Binance Global Spot is an authentication-free Provider configuration for public Global Spot Market Data Only. It does not connect a Binance account and does not expose trading or private account data.

What you need

No Binance account, API key, secret, signature, or trading permission is required. DataCat sends selected requests directly from your Mac to Binance’s public Market Data Only endpoints.

The current DataCat scope allows one Binance Global Spot configuration because all matching Jobs share the same public integration and process/IP quota scope.

Coverage model

DataCat currently supports Binance Global Spot only. Binance.US and other regional Binance platforms are separate markets with their own symbols, liquidity, trades, and price history, so even the same trading pair can produce different bars. Account data, orders, trading, Futures, Margin, and Options are not supported.

History and Live

DataCat uses Binance REST Market Data Only for History and WebSocket Market Data Only for primary Live delivery. History + Live establishes Live coverage and runs REST backfill while preserving one visible Job mode.

REST requests share DataCat’s process/IP request-weight coordination. Public access is not unlimited, and DataCat cannot observe traffic created by unrelated applications behind the same public IP.

Finality and completed klines

An open WebSocket kline is not persisted as a completed bar. After Binance marks a kline closed, DataCat can store it as pending_finalization and use an eligible REST reconciliation to establish final provider data under the DataCat policy.

The adaptive Finality delay is a DataCat mechanism. It must not be interpreted as a Binance immutability guarantee.

Missing rows and recovery

A real returned zero-volume row remains provider data. If an expected row is absent, DataCat preserves a truthful pending, omitted, or provider-error state instead of synthesizing raw OHLCV.

Eligible transport or provider failures can activate bounded REST fallback and recovery. Fallback does not change the visible Job mode or create a second dataset timeline.

Availability and terms

Binance can change endpoints, symbols, limits, terms, geography, acceptable use, and redistribution rules. Public endpoint availability does not grant additional rights in provider data or imply a partnership or endorsement.
