Data Provider and Service Terms
Effective date: August 13, 2026
DataCat is independent software operated by Individual Entrepreneur Roman Sundurov, registration number 305561086, registered at Nutsubidze Slope, Building 21, Apartment 103, Tbilisi, Georgia. DataCat is not a market-data vendor and is not sponsored, endorsed, or operated by any provider listed below.
DataCat is a local, user-directed provider client. Requests are initiated by you and sent directly from your Mac to the selected provider. The operator does not receive provider credentials or dataset contents, centrally host or aggregate provider data, or operate a hosted provider-data delivery service.
1. Your provider relationship
You choose which provider to use and are responsible for obtaining any required account or credential, paying provider charges, selecting a permitted plan, and complying with the provider’s current terms, usage limits, attribution requirements, and data licensing restrictions.
DataCat can help request and write data, but it does not grant additional rights in that data. A user-owned SQLite file remains subject to rights and restrictions attached to its source data. Do not redistribute, resell, publish, or use provider data beyond the rights granted by the relevant provider.
A DataCat subscription pays for DataCat software capabilities. It does not sell provider data, include provider access or fees, or grant a provider data license.
2. CoinAPI
CoinAPI is an independent account-backed provider. Current references:
- Legal terms and policies: https://www.coinapi.io/legal
- API usage policy: https://www.coinapi.io/usage-policy
CoinAPI credentials for your own CoinAPI account are provided by you and used on your Mac to authenticate requests sent directly to CoinAPI for your selected operations. CoinAPI may apply credits, rate limits, finality behavior, data availability limits, plan restrictions, and additional fees.
3. Binance Global Spot
Binance Global Spot is an independent public market-data source in the current DataCat integration. Current reference:
- Binance Spot API Terms of Use: https://developers.binance.com/en/docs/products/spot/PROD-TERMS-OF-USE
- Binance Developer Documentation: https://developers.binance.com/en/docs/introduction
- Binance Terms of Use: https://www.binance.com/en/terms
DataCat sends your selected requests directly from your Mac to Binance’s public unauthenticated Market Data Only endpoints. DataCat does not request Binance credentials or provide Binance account access or trading. Public endpoint availability does not remove restrictions that Binance may apply to API access, market data, geography, acceptable use, rate limits, or redistribution.
4. Provider changes and data quality
Providers may change endpoints, symbols, metadata, availability, limits, terms, or access without notice to DataCat. DataCat does not guarantee that a provider will remain available or that provider data will be complete, timely, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Verify important data and maintain backups of local files.
5. Other services
DataCat also uses Apple, RevenueCat, Amplitude, and Sentry for distribution, subscriptions, product analytics, diagnostics, and explicit feedback as described in the Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Open Source Licenses, and Third-Party Notices. Each service remains governed by its own applicable terms.
